This Privacy Policy describes how BirthdayBridge ("the app"), developed by Nebulous Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 13 634 749 509), handles your personal information. It applies to the BirthdayBridge iOS application available on the Apple App Store.
By using BirthdayBridge, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
With your permission, BirthdayBridge reads the following fields from your iOS address book via the Apple Contacts framework:
This data is stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your personal iCloud account. It is never transmitted to Nebulous Enterprises Pty Ltd or any third party.
You may add contacts manually by entering a name and birthday. You may also add notes, nicknames, salutations, and relationship tags per contact. All of this data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account only.
BirthdayBridge stores your in-app preferences locally, including waking hours, reminder mode, colour theme, and appearance setting. These are stored in your device's local storage and iCloud as part of your personal data — not on any Nebulous Enterprises server.
Birthday message templates you create or edit are stored in your device's local storage (UserDefaults) and synced via iCloud to your other devices. They are not accessible to Nebulous Enterprises Pty Ltd.
BirthdayBridge does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included in BirthdayBridge.
All data is stored in two places, both under your control:
iCloud.NebulousEnterprises.BirthdayBridge) via Apple's CloudKit framework. This container belongs to you and is governed by Apple's iCloud terms. Nebulous Enterprises Pty Ltd cannot access it.If you have multiple Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account, your BirthdayBridge data will sync between them automatically.
BirthdayBridge uses the following Apple system frameworks, which operate under Apple's own privacy terms:
No other third-party services, SDKs, or APIs are used.
BirthdayBridge requests Full Access to your contacts when you first tap "Add from Contacts." This permission is required to read birthday dates, which may be restricted under iOS Limited Access mode. You can use the app without granting this permission by adding contacts manually. If denied, you can grant access later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts.
BirthdayBridge requests permission to send local notifications when you save your first contact with a timezone set. Notifications are scheduled entirely on-device — no data is sent to any server. If denied, you can enable notifications later in Settings → Notifications → BirthdayBridge.
BirthdayBridge uses Background App Refresh to reschedule notifications annually. If Background App Refresh is disabled, notifications are rescheduled the next time you open the app.
BirthdayBridge does not request access to your device's location. Timezone detection uses the postal address already stored in your contacts, processed on-device using Apple's CLGeocoder framework.
BirthdayBridge retains data for as long as you use the app. Because Nebulous Enterprises Pty Ltd holds no copy of your data, deletion is entirely within your control:
Nebulous Enterprises Pty Ltd cannot action data deletion requests on your behalf because we do not hold or have access to your data.
BirthdayBridge is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us using the details below.
Nebulous Enterprises Pty Ltd may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated Effective Date at the top of this document. Continued use of BirthdayBridge after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
